from the very same concert we smiled the entire way through together this past summer

to your love of any and everything yellow: insert every yellow item to ever exist here!

to our awkward years of elementary and middle school where my one too many personality phases (scary emo makayla for the win) may or may not have frightened her just a little too much for us to become the best of friends that we are now, beforehand

it's too true, that I could not imagine how my life would be without her love and hate and passion and silly little quirks to fill it

somewhere along the way, during the past FIFTEEN years we have known each other, this little lady has become a different version of me - and I of her.

we have this on going joke

where she's the dark features to my light features

the jack, to my mak

my big headed, squinty eyed, pointy nosed twin: some characteristics we both share and can only laugh about due to the fact the misery really does love company - and great company she is because I wouldn't want to be "opposite twins" with anyone else: seriously just look at her

jack and I have gone through so many phases

similar and different

together and apart

at the same time and at different times

both taking Dos and Donts from the other

we both share a drive within us

both aggressive and competitive, yet soft and sensitive

we both share a curiosity

of wanting to know more, of wanting to do more, of wanting to be more

we both share a sense of self

one where we both know exactly what we want because of who we are, while simultaneously having no idea how to handle it in the right or wrong ways so we tend to get overwhelmed and overanalyze

we both do this thing...where we don't take the time to appreciate ourselves enough

and if there's one person that I would have to pick, besides the obvious answer of everyone, that should appreciate themselves, it would be jackalynn

because she constantly works so hard

constantly does whatever she can to be successful in anything she puts her mind to

constantly thinks ahead

constantly thinks of what she can be doing to benefit others in the future simply because doing so makes her more happy, to see them happy and appreciative

because she knows how to laugh with you, and at you...and at herself

because she knows how to be light hearted

or how to be so fiercely passionate

so passionate and determined that it moves you to consider all the possible ways it could invoke the same fire in your belly
